Summer School Is Back: 6 Workshops to Deepen Your Practice

This summer, join us for a six-part workshop series designed to help you build confidence, refine your technique, and explore the postures and concepts you don’t always have time to unpack during a regular flow class.

Whether you’re brand new to yoga, curious about arm balances, working toward inversions, or simply looking to better understand your body and your practice, Summer School offers something for everyone.

All workshops take place at our ParkTowne Village studio from 2:30 to 4 pm.

Yoga 101 with Suzanne

Saturday, June 20

New to yoga or looking to refine your fundamentals?

Yoga 101 is a deep dive into the foundational elements of your practice. Together, we’ll explore alignment, posture names, and breath while creating space for questions and individual guidance. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or revisiting the basics with fresh eyes, this workshop will help you build a stronger, more confident foundation.

Yoga 201 with Gretchen

Ever wonder about the difference between Flip Dog and Wild Thing? Curious about Flying Splits, Baby Grasshopper, or Mad Dog but not sure where to begin?

In this workshop, we’ll break down 6-8 intermediate posture variations commonly called in class but rarely explored in detail. You’ll learn what skills each posture develops, how to prepare your body, and how to determine whether a variation is the right fit for your practice.

Hips & Hamstrings with Buffy

“Tight hips” and “tight hamstrings” are some of the most common concerns yoga students bring to the mat, but flexibility is only part of the story.

This workshop explores how to improve both mobility and strength to support a healthier, more sustainable practice. You’ll learn the anatomy of the hips and hamstrings, techniques for safely increasing range of motion, and ways to build strength that can help support your low back and overall movement patterns.

Backbends & Core with Kati

Backbends aren’t just about flexibility. They’re also about strength, stability, and intelligent movement.

In this workshop, you’ll learn how core strength supports a safer, more sustainable backbend practice while exploring proper technique and alignment in poses ranging from Upward Facing Dog and Bow Pose to Camel, Wheel, and beyond. Discover how to prepare your body, create more support, and approach backbends with confidence.

Arm Balances with Rian

If you think arm balances aren’t for you, think again.

From Crow and Mountain Climber to Flying Pigeon and beyond, this workshop breaks down the foundations of arm balancing in a way that feels approachable and accessible. You’ll learn how to build the strength, stability, and body awareness needed to take flight, and how to integrate these postures into your regular flow practice.

Inversions with Lindsay

Going upside down can feel intimidating, but it doesn’t have to.

This workshop will help take the fear out of handstands through safe, progressive drills and techniques designed for all experience levels. You’ll learn how to build strength, improve mobility, understand proper body positioning, and safely enter and exit your inversions.
