New to Charlotte Yoga?
FAQ'S at CY:
I'm brand new to yoga. What classes are best for me?
As a new student, you are welcome to attend any class on our schedule! Our instructors teach classes that are accessible to all levels. We encourage you to come to class with an open mind and willing spirit.
Do I need to make an appointment or sign up ahead of time?
Pre-registration is not required but recommended for some of our busier class times to reserve your spot. You can sign-up online through MindBody.
How early do I need to be at the studio before class begins?
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class starts so you’ll have time to sign in and get your spot in the room. That said, we know life happens and we welcome you to practice even if you are running late. The instructor will help you find a place to practice.
Where can I leave my belongings?
We have cubbies outside the studio for your things. Please no shoes, cell phones or personal belongings inside the studio.
What should I wear?
Most clients choose to wear fitted, breathable clothing. You’ll be moving around a lot in different positions and you’ll be sweating, so wear what is most comfortable for you.
Should I eat before class?
This is personal preference. However, it is recommended that a heavy meal not be eaten prior to your class. Drink plenty of water before and after a practice.
What do I need to bring?
Yoga mat
Yogitoes mat towel or large/bath towel
Face/hand towel
Water bottle
Charlotte Yoga offers yoga mats for rent and drinks for sale including water and kombucha. We also have a filtered water fountain that you may use to fill your own bottle. We also offer Manduka yoga mats and Yogitoes mat towels for sale at the studio.
I have a pre-existing injury/illness/condition. Is Power Yoga or Hot Yoga right for me?
Always check with your physician to see if strenuous exercise is okay for your body.
