Laura Hays - Yoga Instructor
Laura has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years. Her background in dance and studies of the arts made yoga a natural fit. While attending art school and later medical school in Boston, she trained with YogaFit and began teaching yoga and pilates. She found a particular niche reaching out to the community through teaching yoga.
When she moved to Charlotte in 2009, Laura discovered Charlotte Yoga and felt immediately connected to the community that had been so richly nurtured by the studio over the years.
Laura recently completed her RYT200 certification at Y2. As a practicing physician and yoga teacher, she strives to help others understand the connection between the body, breath and mind and how powerfully one can influence the others.
“I believe in the power of the pause. When the journey seems hectic and the world is moving so fast around us, take a moment to pause - breath, reconnect and find your intention. As a mom, an emergency physician and well, a human, I find this challenging at times. Yoga helps remind me to focus on the present, move with intention and stay balanced.
